Save files to your Inkscape user extensions directory. In Linux this is $HOME\/.config\/inkscape\/extensions<\/strong><\/p>\n

Mark sewing_pattern.py as executable. In Linux:
\n<\/strong>sudo chmod +x *.py<\/strong><\/p>\n

Define seam allowance width:
\nSelect\u00a0File\/Inkscape Preferences\/Steps <\/strong>and set\u00a0Outset\u00a0<\/strong>to\u00a056.25\u00a0<\/strong>px for 5\/8″ seam \u00a0 \u00a0 allowance or 35.433070866\u00a0<\/strong>px for 1cm.<\/p>\n

To run the extension:
\nSelect\u00a0Extensions\/<\/strong>Sewing Patterns\/Sh<\/strong>irt Waist.
\n<\/strong>When the popup box appears with the default measurements, select\u00a0Inches<\/strong>\u00a0or Centimeters, <\/strong>enter your measurements over the default measurements,\u00a0<\/strong>and click\u00a0Apply.\u00a0<\/strong>Your measurements will be saved & displayed the next time you\u00a0run this extension.<\/p>\n

To remove points & gridlines:
\nPress CTRL-F<\/strong>, type reference<\/strong>\u00a0in the Attribute<\/strong> field, click Find<\/strong>, press Delete<\/strong>\u00a0to remove the reference design lines.<\/p>\n

To create seam allowances:
\nPress CTRL-F<\/strong>, type cuttingline<\/strong>\u00a0in the ID<\/strong> field, click Find<\/strong>, press\u00a0CTRL-)\u00a0<\/strong>to create the outset seam allowance.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
